a) Information You Provide to Us Directly:

  • Account Information: When you create a TubeTubeGo account, we collect your email address. We use Supabase Auth for our secure authentication system, which means we never see or store your plain-text password. You might also choose to provide a name for your profile.
  • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processing partner, Stripe, will collect your payment details (like your credit card number and billing address). We do not see, store, or have access to your full payment card information. We only receive a confirmation token from Stripe that your payment has been completed.

b) Information We Collect Automatically:

  • Usage Data: When you use our Service, we automatically collect information about your interactions. This includes the YouTube video URLs you submit for transcription, which features you use, and when you use them. This helps us understand what's working and how to make the Service better.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for a few key reasons, all aimed at giving you a great experience.

  • To Provide and Maintain the Service: This is the main reason! We use your account info to give you access and use the video URLs you provide to generate transcripts.
  • To Manage Your Account: To create and manage your account, handle billing, and send you important service-related notices (like password resets or payment confirmations).
  • To Process Payments: To securely process your subscription payments through our trusted partner, Stripe.
  • To Communicate with You: To respond to your support requests, ask for feedback, or inform you about updates to our Service.
  • To Improve Our Service: By analyzing how you and others use TubeTubeGo, we can identify areas for improvement, develop new features, and fix bugs.
  • For Safety and Security: To protect our Service and our users from fraud, abuse, or security threats.

3. How We Share Your Information

We are not in the business of selling your personal data. We only share it with a few trusted partners who help us run our Service.

  • Service Providers:
    • Supabase: We use Supabase for our entire backend infrastructure. This means your account information (email, hashed password) and usage data are securely stored on their platform on our behalf.
    • Stripe: We use Stripe for payment processing. As mentioned, your payment details go directly to them.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or defend against legal liability.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership.

We will never share your personal account information with YouTube.

4. Your Data Rights and Choices

You are in control of your personal information.

  • Access and Update: You can log in to your account at any time to review and update your account information.
  • Data Deletion: You can delete your account from your account settings page. When you delete your account, we will permanently delete your personal information and usage history from our active systems. Please note that some data may remain in our secure backups for a limited period for legal or security reasons.
  • Communications: You can opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by using the "unsubscribe" link in the email. You will still receive essential service-related emails.

We take the security of your data seriously. We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
